Der Kurzspielfilm `Am Fluss`scheint die heutige, hektische Welt zu ignorieren. Er gibt dem Zuschauer Zeit zu sehen und Zeit zum Hören. Der Vorgang ist einfach: Ein junger Mann geht Angeln. Warum er das tut, wird nicht gesagt. Es gibt Indizien aber hier hat man Gelegenheit eine eigene Geschichte zu sehen. Schauspieler Marten Krebs hat es nicht leicht. Er spielt allein, denn das Drehbuch hat nur eine Rolle vorgesehen und Regisseur Mario Gericke hat Schweigen angeordnet. Die behutsame Kameraführung von Christof Assing bleibt immer in Beobachterposition. Natur und Mensch, jeder für sich und doch zusammen.

The short film `Am Fluss (At the river)`is a film that brings nature closer to the viewer. It actively ignores to show a present, hectic world. Therefor it gives the viewer time to see and time to listen, based upon a simple narrative: A young man goes fishing. We will never exactly know the reason, except the film does give some indications. However, the audience has the opportunity to imagine its own story.

The making of the film was especially challenging for actor Marten Krebs. He is the only character the story promotes and director Mario Gericke has ordered a dialogue free script. Thanks to the careful camera work by Christof Assing the audience will be both: observer and adventurer. Nature and mankind, each for themselves and together.
