Thomas ist auf dem Weg in ein Leben, in dem es nur noch ihn und seine Freundin gibt. Doch der Traum zerplatzt wie eine Seifenblase, als sich diese von ihm trennt. So trifft er an einer einsamen Raststätte auf Annemarie. Thomas berichtet der skurrilen Dame von seiner zerstörten Beziehung und muss erkennen, dass egal was passiert, und sei es noch so dunkel und böse, es immer einen Grund gibt ins Leben zu springen.
